12 Week Year Review
I just finished reading the 12 Week Year Get More Done in 12 Weeks Than Others Do in 12 Months by Brian P. Morgan and Michael Lennington. This motivational book teaches how to construct your year into 12 weeks. You’ll learn why a 12-week year and the exact steps you need to set yourself up for success. If you are looking to improve your time management and the rate at which you achieve your success I think this is a must read. I consider myself decently efficient when it comes to my time management. However, I know as well as anyone else should there is always room for improvement. I have pages of notes from this book and am working to implement my first 12-week year before 2018 is over.
I loved how they focused and addressed the fact that you must have a personal vision, not just a vision in business to be successful. Making money just for money’s sake won’t motivate you when the going gets tough, which inevitably it will.
You’ll discover why annual plans are not as effective. When I heard the reasoning and thought through my own life the things that I have run up against I realized how true this was. It was also exciting thinking about what could be accomplished by implementing the 12-week year!
As with anything else you can be more effective when you are tracking your progress. You can’t improve what you don’t know! You’ll learn what types of things you should be tracking and what low numbers in each area means so you can adjust correctly.
This is definitely a must read for anyone who wants to be more successful in less time. The 12 Week Year will be one that I add to my shelf to read again and again. Repetition is key in learning!
