We’re back talking more money coaching myths. What a lot of my clients are coming to me. It’s like, okay, this is what I wish I knew before, so want to make sure you know now. And today’s episode is going to be like, hey, you might need a money coach even if you have this part figured out.
Welcome to Your Money Your Life Podcast
All right, so let’s get to it. This is the your money your life podcast. I’m your host, Amy Circa, a money confidence coach for female entrepreneurs on the path to six figures. After over ten years in the personal finance industry and multiple personal, financial and medical crisis, I was fed up with the lies that are being shouted from the rooftops by the gurus and the media.
So now I help you simplify, solidify, and scale your money. By blending tactile money strategies with mindset work, you can create unstoppable finances. Together, you’ll finally figure out the money thing, so you can make more money in less time without living off of beans and rice or sacrificing your lifestyle. The episodes here on the podcast are short and sweet.
Being married, having four kids at home, homeschooling, being a CEO, running the household. I’m kind of busy, and I know you are, too. So let’s keep it simple and get to the point. Welcome.
More Money Coaching Myths
I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome back to another episode of the your money your life podcast. I’m your host, Amy Sarko. We are back talking more money coaching myths.
You Might Still Need a Financial Coach
And like I said, today is going to be one of those, like, hey, fantastic that you have this figured out. Fantastic that you have this figured out. You might still need a financial coach, all right? Because this is one of the things.
Debt is Not the Only Issue
It’s almost like a reflex that people are like, oh, I wouldn’t need a financial coach because I’m not in debt. That has nothing to do with being needing a financial coach, because working on a debt payoff strategy is just like a portion of a portion of. One of the things that we work on, so much more of what we do is how you feel, think, and act around money. So if you’re not in debt, fantastic, great.
Good is the Enemy of Great
It’s kind of irrelevant, really doesn’t matter because we have to focus on what we are doing. And the other side of that is you might be somebody who’s like, you know, we’re getting by. We’re doing pretty good, right? I hear that all the time.
Don’t Settle for Mediocrity
I’m doing pretty good. And so many times. Well, you’ve heard this before. Good is the enemy of great, and we get comfortable in that I’m like, okay, yeah, we’re doing okay. We can pay the bills. Things are fine. Status quo.
Avoiding the Stuck Feeling
Almost like we’re. You’re good. Nothing’s too painful. Which is where we get into, let’s say, mediocrity, but mediocrity and stuck. And we don’t want to get stuck. So the reason that you might and you might not, we don’t know yet.
Avoiding the Things We Don’t Want
Right? Jury’s still out. We can have a conversation if you want. But you might. I don’t want you to rule out the fact, like, hey, I don’t need any help with my money because I’m not in debt, or, I don’t need any help with my money because we’re paying the bills.
Creating Room for Improvement
We’re doing pretty good. Right? This is about being preemptive, making choices based on what we want to do in the future. Is there that room for the improvement? Because we’re doing so much more?
Importance of Mindset
And how we think, how we feel, how we act around money is just as important, if not more important than what those tangible results that we have are those things that we have that are showing up because those will improve when we change, how we show up, how our emotions are affecting us when it comes to money.
Strive for Greatness
Right. Getting by is good, but I’d rather that you can be great. So if you are somebody who is saying, okay, yeah, no, I’m not in debt. I’m paying the bills. So maybe I don’t. Didn’t think that I needed a financial coach, but I might. Some of the things that we need to kind of look at and consider, are we hitting? What are we avoiding? Actually, let’s start with that. So what are you avoiding?
Why Are You Afraid?
Because often we’re going to avoid the things that we don’t want to do, and there can be a reason for it, but if it’s done out of fear, why? What are we afraid of? What are we not wanting to achieve? Where are we feeling that comfortable?
Space for Opportunities
Instead of creating the space to hit the next level, because it doesn’t even have to be like a pushing yourself to hit the next level, creating that space, creating that opportunity. So what are you avoiding? And again, these are the mindset questions that it’s sometimes hard to do for ourselves.
Blind Spots in Ourselves
I was actually having this conversation earlier about how we can, and I’ll use myself for an example. Like, you know, I. I know money. I know all these things. We have all of this tactical, tangible, like, know what to do and I can help. We talked about it. I think it was last week that might have been a different video, but like, there’s been over 500 clients now that I’ve helped in some form or capacity, which is crazy to look at, crazy to think about, but helping myself and doing things for yourself, like, often more blind to that. And we see it all the time.
Needing a Coach
You know, um, there was a post even earlier today that I saw in a financial coaching group that I’m in that was like, I’m a financial coach, but like, I need a financial coach because we have blind spots when it comes to ourselves. So it’s not a bad thing, right?
Doing the Inner Work
Like trying to do or doing the inner, inner work. We’re not going to try, we’re going to do. We’re going to do the inner work, work on our mindset and our thoughts, feelings, emotions around money. But there’s not a problem with needing support. And you might not need a high touch level of support. It might be very low lift. Maybe you just need a couple of tweaks on your strategy within your minds, um, within your tactical strategy on what you’re doing within your finances.
Getting to Results Faster
But you’re not going to get there as fast without that outside perspective. Right? That is what I want you to reflect on today. If you’re wanting a very low cost, easy way to get support when it comes to your money, execution lab is the coaching and co-working membership that I have. It’s only $9 a month.
Join Execution Lab
So we get together and do the things that we need to within our finances. And then of course, I’m there to help support you along the way.
