If we’ve learned nothing else over the last couple of years is that we need to unexpected proof your money. No, it won’t be all butterflies and rainbows but are you actually set up for success? Let’s find out.
In this episode, we’re looking at the change you want to make so that you can effectively evaluate your status.
Welcome to the Your Money Your Life podcast. I’m your host, Aimee Cerka.
After over 10 years in the personal finance industry and multiple personal financial and medical crises, I was fed up with the lies or being shouted from the rooftops by the Gurus and the media. Now I help you the ambitious woman step into unstoppable finances.
When you step into unstoppable finances you create financial abundance that aligns with your personal values and goals. Without working 80 hour plus work weeks without pinching pennies, without worrying how you’ll handle the next curveball life throws your way and it’s a simple to-the-point kind of way.
Being married having 4 kids at home homeschooling, being a CEO running the household, I’m kind of busy. And I know that you are too. So, here we get straight to the point.
If you’re ready to eliminate fear, stress, struggle, frustration and guilt from your finances, and all the areas they affect. You’re in the right place. Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
Reflecting on Your 2022 Financial Journey
We are still kind of reflecting on our finances. What you’ve done in 2022, what we want to improve?
And the question that I have for you today is what is one change you can make that would positively impact your financial life?
Now, this isn’t just about talking about making an extra $10,000. We need to go a little deeper than that.
What would you do with the extra $10,000?
Would you hire a house cleaning company? Would you hire a personal assistant? Would your kids go to a different school? Would they go to school at all? Maybe you pull them out and start homeschooling?
Would you move? If so, where would you move to? And what would that move allow you to do? Why is that significant? Why would that improve your life?
Beyond Monetary Goals
It doesn’t have to be about the money. Oftentimes, it’s not only about the money. This is going deeper.
And there’s a lot of stigma out there. About money is evil and rich people are evil, rich people are bad. And there are tons of things that are like projecting that at us, right?
And really, we know that the love of money is evil. Money in itself is not inherently evil.
If I sent a $10,000 stack of $1,000, bills, $100 bills, whatever $10,000 right there in front of you, it’s not going to jump up and it’s not going to smack you or me, right?
Money Isn’t Evil; It’s How You Use It
The money itself is not evil. It’s what you do with it.
You need to remind yourself what positive impact you are going to make for yourself, for your family and for others with your finances. Whatever it is, there’s no guilt, there’s no shame. It’s not like you have to donate this to charity or dig water wells in Africa.
Whatever it is for you is perfectly fine because you’re still improving your life. You’re still improving your family’s life. And as a result, you’re going to impact others because when you’re a happier person, you’re going to be nicer to people too. Just a side note, happy people, nice people, work out there. Okay?
Expanding Impact Beyond Money
It doesn’t just have to be about the money.
This can be a habit that you could create a change that you can make and be able to stay on top of your meal planning. This could be sticking with a productivity system. This could be asking for help looking for support realizing “Okay, I’m not doing this by myself, I need somebody out there asking for those resources looking for them.”
Whether you’re inside the Academy and you’re looking for support on the next live coaching call. Or you’ve been DIY in it, and you’re like, “Okay, this is it, I kind of need something somewhere, this isn’t working.”
Those habits that we’re creating are just an impact as impactful and they will affect your financial life as well.
Share Your Financial Goals
So your question for today that you’re reflecting on is what is one change that you can make that could positively impact your financial life?
I want to hear what you’re doing with it. It’s not just that flat income amount goal you’re going to hit. What are you going to do with that extra income? What are you going to do for yourself, for your family? The impact you’re going to be able to leave.
